VICTIM’S NAME RELEASED IN MONDAY TWENTYNINE PALMS FATAL STABBING

The County Coroner has released the name of the victim of a fatal stabbing in Twentynine Palms Monday. At 12:01 pm, deputies responded to the report of a stabbing at the Vista del Sol Military Housing area in the 74400 block of Joe Davis Drive. They found Dominique Clement, 21, of Twentynine Palms, with stab wounds. He was taken to the Naval Hospital aboard the Marine Base. Dominique Clement was declared dead at 2:46 p.m. Deputies located the suspect, William Olivo, 25, also a resident of Twentynine Palms, outside of the apartment armed with a knife. Deputies ordered him to drop the knife and he complied but resisted when deputies attempted to handcuff him. Olivo was tased and then taken into custody without further incident. He was treated for a laceration believed to have occurred during an altercation with the victim. Once released from the hospital, he was booked the West Valley Detention Center where he is being held on $1 million for investigation of murder, assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats, and intimidating a witness.
