TWO SERIOUSLY INJURED IN ROLL-OVER CRASH IN MORONGO VALLEY FRIDAY NIGHT

Updated 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21:

We have more information about a roll-over crash that seriously injured two people in Morongo Valley Friday night. About 10:22 p.m., Connor Cross, 21, of Desert Hot Springs, was driving a 2003 Ford F150 pick-up truck westbound on Highway 62 when for unknown reasons, he made an unsafe turning movement. The truck crossed the highway’s eastbound lanes, and then rolled over several times in the desert near Fox Trail, landing on its roof. His passenger, Crystal Kennard, 37, also of Desert Hot Springs, was able to get out of the truck on her own, but Morongo Valley firefighters had to extricate Cross. They were both taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs with serious to critical injuries. The California Highway Patrol is investigating but impairment is suspected.
