TWO JOSHUA TREE RESIDENTS ARRESTED AFTER A FIGHT

Two Joshua Tree residents were arrested on warrants Wednesday evening following an altercation in Joshua Tree. According to a Sheriff’s report, four people were arguing about 7 p.m. in the 62400 block of 29 Palms Highway when a woman grabbed a baseball bat and hit Paul Nagy, 22, in the head, causing a bruise and a cut. Arriving deputies saw one of the participants, Toni Cagle, 30, inside a home. When Cagle saw the deputy, she tried to flee out a back window, but was detained by deputies, who arrested her for investigation of resisting arrest and for a $50,000 warrant for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Nagy was also located nearby. Nagy was arrested for warrants for being an accessory after the fact, possession of metal knuckles, and conspiracy. Nagy was treated for his head injury by Morongo Basin Ambulance before being booked at the Morongo Basin Jail where he is being held without bail. The suspect who allegedly hit Nagy in the head has not been located.
