TWO CRITICAL AFTER YUCCA MESA AREA ALTERCATION

We have sketchy details about an attack in the Yucca Mesa area yesterday, that left two men critically injured. According to County Fire Captain Jay Dimoff, about 2 p.m. paramedics were called to a home on 1000 block of Yucca Mesa Boulevard, where they found that one man had been hit in the head with a baseball bat. He was taken to the Yucca Valley airport where he was flown to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs. Meanwhile, the other victim of the same assault had been driven to the fire station in Yucca Mesa, where a Sheriff’s deputy flagged down the county ambulance that was on its way to the original location. The second victim had been stabbed three times with a knife. He was also taken to the Yucca Valley airport and flown to Desert Hospital. Sheriff’s officials believe the two men were arguing with each other before the fight broke out.
