TWO ARRESTED IN DESERT HOT SPRINGS BURGLARIES

An ongoing investigation into a series of residential burglaries in Desert Hot Springs resulted in the arrest of a Desert Hot Springs man. Aaron Schoolfield, 22, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy, and on a parole violation. The investigation remains active and anyone with information should call the Desert Hot Springs police at 760-329-2904 extension 382.

A Desert Hot Springs man was arrested following an attempted vehicle burglary. According to Desert Hot Springs police, a resident near Hacienda Avenue and Tamar Drive called about 8:25 Wednesday morning to report he caught a suspect burglarizing his vehicle. When the suspect fled, the owner followed until he lost sight of the suspect. Police officers located the suspect running in the 12800 block of Miracle Hill Road in Desert Hot Springs. The suspect, later identified as Gabriel Gallegos, 21, forced his way into a home, and then tried to escape out a side window, but was captured by officers in the back yard. Gabriel Gallegos was arrested for investigation of burglary, petty theft, and resisting arrest, and booked into the Riverside County Jail in Banning.
