TWO ACCUSED OF BURGLARY IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

Two people were arrested Saturday, accused of a burglary in Twentynine Palms. Just after 2 a.m. Saturday morning, deputies were sent to the 76800 block of El Paseo Drive in Twentynine Palms by a residential burglary alarm. Deputies found a broken window on the south side of the house and confirmed a burglary had occurred. Evidence at the scene led deputies to the 6200 block of Allen Avenue in Wonder Valley where they contacted Jeremy Shannon, 26, and Nicole Thomas, 27, both of Twentynine Palms. Deputies located $5,000 in stolen jewelry at the scene. Jeremy Shannon, who was on parole, was arrested for investigation of burglary and violation of his parole, and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000. Nicole Thomas was arrested on suspicion of burglary, with her bail set at $75,000. The jewelry was returned to its owner.
