TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ACCUSED OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING, PRODUCING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

After a lengthy investigation, a Twentynine Palms woman was arrested Tuesday morning, accused of producing child pornography and human trafficking a female juvenile. According to a Sheriff’s report, investigators received a tip in March that Catherine Englebrick, 40, was sexually exploiting a minor. During the investigation, Morongo Basin deputies and detectives from the Sheriff’s Crimes Against Children Detail and the Human Trafficking Task Force learned that in August 2018, Englebrick produced a pornographic video of herself and the girl, as well as took nude photos of the girl. Englebrick sold the photos and videos via social media. Investigators say that Englebrick also tried to persuade the girl to have sex with a man in exchange for a cell phone. On Tuesday, April 30, deputies served a search warrant on Englebrick’s home in the 6500 block of El Rey Avenue in Twentynine Palms. Catherine Englebrick was arrested on suspicion of human trafficking a juvenile and production of child pornography, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $100,000.
