TWENTYNINE PALMS WOMAN ACCUSED OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE

A Twentynine Palms woman was arrested last week, accused of sexually abusing three children. The Orange County District Attorney’s office says Brandi Valadez, 40, faces four felony charges of lewd acts on children under 14 and two charges of child abuse. The children, two boys under the ages of 10 and 13, and a girl under the age of 7, were all known to her. Valadez was arrested Wednesday in Twentynine Palms, but has lived in various cities. The crimes occurred in 2014; deputies began their investigation when the children reported them to family members. If convicted, Brandi Valadez faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. She is being held on $1 million bail and will next appear in court November 4.
