TWENTYNINE PALMS WILDCAT BASEBALL TEAM DEFEATS YUCCA VALLEY TROJANS FRIDAY

Friday, the Yucca Valley High School Trojan baseball team dropped a league game to cross town rival Twentynine Palms High School. A highlight for the Trojans was sophomore Dezmond Delgado, who went 2 for 3 with a stolen base. Senior Colden McGarvie pitched all seven innings, but in spite of five strike outs, one walk and only three hits, the Trojans could not supply any run support. Final score 2-0. Individual statistics were not provided by Twentynine Palms High School.
 
Coming up in high school sports tomorrow, the Yucca Valley High School baseball and softball teams will travel away to play Rancho Mirage High School. First pitch for both teams is at 3:15.
 
Also tomorrow, the Twentynine Palms High School baseball and softball teams will host the Big Bear Bears at home. First pitch for both teams is at 3:15.
 
The Yucca Valley Trojan golf team will travel away to Desert Hot Springs to play the Golden Eagles. Tee off is at 2:45.
