At tonight’s meeting of the Twentynine Palms Water District, the board
is expected to review—and likely leave unchanged—the current water availability assessment for the coming fiscal year. Also tonight, directors will be looking at what they call the “SMART” plan: a management framework that aims to most efficiently see that water is sustainable, affordable, and reliable in both the short term and into the future. Those items and others are in addition to routine items on the consent agenda. Tonight’s meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the District Office on the south side of Hatch Road in Twentynine Palms.
