TWENTYNINE PALMS RECREATION ASTRONOMY GATHERING NEXT WEEK

The City of Twentynine Palms Recreation Department and Sky’s the Limit will be hosting an astronomy gathering for students in the fifth or sixth grades. They will meet from 6:30 until 7:30 on Tuesday, May 27, and Thursday the 29, at the Community Services Building in Luckie Park. They will learn legends, myths, stories and facts about the solar system. On Friday night, May 30, they will meet at the Sky’s The Limit site on Utah Trail from 730 p.m. until 9 p.m. There will be local astronomers with telescopes for the students to use and explore the universe. It is free, but you must register by calling Twentynine Park and Recreation at 760-367-7562 and reserve your spot as it is limited to the first 15 students that sign up.
