The Twentynine Palms Planning Commission meets tonight with just one thing on its agenda: a public hearing on the proposed comprehensive update and replacement of the city’s entire development code. The new code, which emerged from more than 40 workshops and meetings of a regular working group since 2013, allows for more streamlined development reviews, improved direction to project applicants, and according to staff, a more logical and organized approach to the city’s changing building environment.
The hearing gets underway 6 p.m. at City Hall on Adobe Road.
