TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN WANTED FOR SHOOTING HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW TURNS HIMSELF IN

A Twentynine Palms man accused of shooting his brother-in-law turned himself in to Sheriff’s deputies Monday. Investigators say Robert Prudholme, 30, was arguing with Charles Perez, 29, Saturday evening at a family get-together in the 6000 block of Daisy Avenue in Twentynine Palms when he hit Perez with a handgun. Perez fell to the ground, at which time, detectives say, Prudholme shot Perez once in the stomach. Prudholme had fled the scene by the time deputies arrived. Perez was taken to Desert Hospital with serious injuries. Prudholme turned himself in to deputies Monday afternoon and was arrested for investigation of attempted murder, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $1 million.
