The Twentynine Palms man accused of stabbing and killing a Yucca Valley man last year was found guilty Thursday. After deliberating for a day and a half, the jury found that Carlos Herrera, 41, killed Luis Arroyo, 49, following an argument in the 7600 block of Cibola Trail on September 14, 2016. Arroyo’s girlfriend told investigators that after stabbing Arroyo, he fled in his vehicle on Highway 62. Deputies stopped Herrera a short time later on eastbound Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms. Sentencing for Carlos Herrera is set for February 23.
