A Twentynine Palms man was arrested on suspicion of spouse abuse Wednesday. According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to 6600 block of Mariposa Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 8 a.m. following a report of a domestic disturbance. Deputies say that 39-year-old Francisco Nunez had allegedly choked a woman living there three times and threatened to kill her, following an argument over missing jewelry, cellphone, and a weapon. Francisco Nunez was arrested for investigation of felony spouse abuse, booked into Morongo Basin Jail, and his bail set at $50,000.
