A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of punching his girlfriend in the mouth. According to a Sheriff’s report, Erwin Boyd, 40, was arguing with his girlfriend in the 7300 block of Araby Avenue about 6 p.m. when she said he hit her in the mouth. A records check by law enforcement found that the woman had a restraining order against Boyd. Boyd was arrested for investigation of battery, contempt of court for violating a restraining order, and on a no-bail warrant for violating the terms of his post-release community supervision. He was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail.
