TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ARRESTED AFTER ASSAULT WITH A KEY

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested early Saturday morning after he used a key to assault a friend. According to a Sheriff’s report, the victim was visiting a home in the 75100 block of Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms when Dane Tomasko, 25, came home about 1:30 a.m. allegedly drunk. The victim said Tomasko turned off the power to the house and began arguing with the victim, before taking out his key and scratching the victim’s chest with it. Dane Tomasko was arrested for investigation of assault with a weapon, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
