TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING TO USE STUN GUN ON WOMAN

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday, accused of threatening to use a stun gun on a woman. According to a Sheriff’s report, Joshua Stevens, 35, was arguing with a woman in the 6500 block of Lupine Avenue about 2:30 p.m. The woman went into her bedroom and closed the door, and she told deputies that Stevens came in to her rooms several times and removed items. The fourth time Stevens came into the room, he had a stun gun with him and the woman told deputies he threatened to use it on her and activated it. After an investigation, Joshua Stevens was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and possession of a stun gun, and on an $50,000 warrant for possession of brass knuckles, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
