TWENTYNINE PALMS MAN ACCUSED OF FORGERY

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Friday night, accused of forgery. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a vehicle, with Allen Sins, 20, in it, near Cactus Drive and Adobe Road just after 9 p.m. Friday for having expired license plate tabs. During the stop, the deputy determined that Sins was found to be in possession of several checks that did not belong to him. The deputy said that Sins told him he had tried to unsuccessfully cash one of the checks at a bank. Allen Sins was arrested for investigation of forgery, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $25,000.
