TWENTYNINE PALMS HISTORICAL SOCIETY REORGANIZES

The Twentynine Palms Historical Society Board of Directors said farewell to one member as it welcomed another during its reorganization last week at the Old Schoolhouse Museum. Managing editor Tami Roleff has the details…

Marilyn Collier, who announced last fall she would not seek another term on the board after 15 years of service, was succeeded by Jim Krushat, who was elected in November to fill the vacancy. His term will run through 2020.

Krushat joins President Les Snodgrass, Vice President Greg Mendoza, Recording Secretary Kelly O’Sullivan, Treasurer Nolan Lockwood, Corresponding Secretary Cheryl Erickson and Directors Dana Bowden and John Steiner. In addition to serving as a director, Krushat chairs the society’s Membership Committee. He also is spearheading an effort to create a World War II exhibit at the museum.
