TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL LOSES ON FINAL DRIVE

The Twentynine Palms Varsity Wildcats played an outstanding game, but eventually fell in the final minutes to visiting Shadow Hills 21-14. The Wildcats defense played one of their best games early as they tallied four quarterback sacks on the game. Senior tackle David Falefitu had two sacks, and junior Dylan Martinez, and sophomore Andrew Wilson each had one. Talo Wilson and Darren Murphy led all defenders with nine tackles each on the game. The defensive front of Tristen Thiers, David Falefitu, Cole Estrada, Dylan Martinez, and Andrew Wilson combined for 21 tackles on the game. Offensively Talo Wilson led the team with seven catches, and Darren Murphy had four for 62 yards. Hall led the team in rushing and scored one touchdown. Sophomore running back Beayahn Carrllo had a nifty 50 yard return on the game as well.

The Frosh-Soph were able to defeat the Knights in the earlier game 22-6. With the win, the Cats have a 2-0 record in league and 6-1 season record.
