TWENTYNINE PALMS CITY COUNCIL MEETS MONDAY, WILL HOLD HEARING ON UNDERGROUNDING UTILITIES

The Twentynine Palms City council will meet in a regular meeting at 6:00 p.m. this Monday, January 12; note the change of day from Tuesday to Monday for this meeting. After an award to the Twentynine Palms High School girls’ basketball team for participation in the Cash for Trash program, the Council faces a relatively short agenda. Among items of interest, the council will authorize the purchase of a $50,000 Ford F-450 pickup truck. A public hearing will be held on undergrounding the utilities along State Route 62 between Mesquite Springs Road and Pine Avenue. The Council is expected to terminate a contract with the Twentynine Palms Water District and plan a future strategic planning workshop. The Twentynine Palms City Council meeting Monday will end with assignments and appointments to regional governmental organizations.
