Apostolic Lighthouse Assembly Church in Twentynine Palms will celebrate its eighth anniversary Sunday, September 18, and the public is invited to a free picnic. The event starts at 1 p.m. at the church, 6450 Stardune Avenue, and then will move to Luckie Park in Twentynine Palms. All food is free. There will also be children’s activities, such as kites, Frisbees, and horseshoes. For more information, call the church at 909-855-3984.
