If you would like to be in the light parade, please apply now. Light parade applications are available at the Park and Recreation offices at Luckie Park or by calling Z107.7 at 760-366-8471. Applicants are asked to bring a donation to the Twentynine Palms Food Pantry as the cost for their entry. The parade will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4.

The Rotary Club of Yucca Valley Noon is looking for entries for this year’s Yucca Valley Light Parade set for Saturday, December 8, on Santa Fe Trail. Z107.7 Radio has been named as this year’s Yucca Valley Light Parade Grand Marshall and will lead the parade. Last year 35 entries delighted attendees with businesses and organizations bringing decorated trucks, an old schoolhouse, lit-up dogs, cheerleaders, and Girl Scouts. All are invited to join the fun, family event and entertain thousands of spectators. Z107.7’s Cody Joseph will announce the holiday tradition, now in its 21st year. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. and will promenade along Santa Fe Trail from Bannock Trail to Inca Trail with the judges’ reviewing stand located on the corner of Geronimo Trail, where free hot cocoa and restrooms will be available to the public. The entry fee is $25. For information or an application contact Parade Chair Patti Brown at 760-365-7003.
