TUESDAY DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION TO JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK ART EXHIBITION

Tuesday, September 1, is the deadline for entries for the Joshua Tree National Park Juried Art Exhibition 2015, a highlight of the third annual JTNP Art Exposition at the Oasis of Mara in Twentynine Palms. Entry is open to visual artists 18 and over for original work created within the last five years. Artwork must depict or be inspired by Joshua Tree National Park or its cultural history. Awards up to $5,000, plus inclusion in the exhibition catalog and month-long exhibition will be available for artists selected for the show. The art will be displayed at the 29 Palms Art Gallery, November 6 to 29. A gala reception and awards will take place on Friday, November 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the gallery, followed by art exposition weekend events and art market on Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, at a variety of venues at the Oasis of Mara.
