THEATRE 29 TO OFFER SUNDAY MATINEE FOR “DON’T HUG ME, I’M PREGNANT”

“Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant,” the hilarious musical at Theatre 29, will hold a Sunday matinee tomorrow, as well as its show tonight. “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant” is set in a little bar called “The Bunyan” in Bunyan Bay, Minnesota. Clara, played by Kylie Robinson, is 8 1/2 months pregnant and looking forward to her baby shower. A freak snow storm hits and snows them in. Her husband Gunner, played by Randy Smith, realizes his worst nightmare has come true when Clara goes into labor. A pretty ex-waitress, Bernice, portrayed by Leigh-Ann Crummet, has dreams of going to Broadway. The full-of-himself business owner Kanute Gunderson is played by John Fries, and Aarvid, a karaoke salesman, will be played by Jasper Falmog. “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant” features 17 original songs including, “Bun in the Oven” and “If Men Had Babies, We’d All Be Extinct.” “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant” plays Friday and Saturday nights through June 4 at 7 p.m., with 2:30 matinees on Sunday, May 15 and 29.
