THE LATEST ON ROAD CONDITIONS IN JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK
Road crews are still working to clear and repair roads in Joshua Tree National Park that were damaged in flash floods earlier this month. The park road is still closed from the north entrance to the Park at the Oasis of Mara to the turn-off to Cottonwood. In addition, the Jumbo Rocks campground and the Cottonwood Oasis, including Cottonwood Springs Trail, Mastodon Trail, and Lost Palms Oasis are also closed. More information on alternative hiking locations in the Cottonwood area is available on a handout at Cottonwood Visitor Center. The Cottonwood Visitor Center is open daily from 9 to 4.
