An 18-year-old Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday, accused of being in possession of child pornography. On July 27, Sheriff’s detectives were alerted that Brendan Crow had uploaded images of child pornography to his online media storage account. After an investigation, a search and arrest warrants were issued for Crow, and deputies searched his home in the 5800 block of Clare Avenue Thursday where evidence was located and seized. Brendan Crow was arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $100,000.
A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Wednesday, accused of stealing a vehicle in Arizona and driving it to Yucca Valley. A deputy saw a vehicle near Bannock Trail and Santa Fe Trail just before midnight with its driver and rear passenger doors open. A records check found that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Arizona. Deputies searched the area and found a group of people, including Kristina Rittmiller, 45. Rittmiller had the keys to the vehicle and allegedly admitted that she had taken the vehicle that morning and drove it to California. Kristina Rittmiller was arrested on suspicion of grand theft auto and for multiple warrants, booked into West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $1,050,000.
We have an update on a story we aired Wednesday about a man accused of shooting inside his Yucca Valley motel room. Sheriff’s deputies were sent to the America’s Best Value Inn and Suites about 7 a.m. Tuesday, where they found several bullet holes in the exterior wall of a room. A security check was made inside the room and they contacted Leighton Turner, 39, of Desert Hot Springs. Deputies found several more rounds that had been fired from within the room. A search warrant was obtained, and deputies located a handgun and several rounds of fired ammunition inside the room. After a medical evaluation at a local hospital, Leighton Turner was arrested on suspicion of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $250,000.
An Anaheim man was arrested Saturday, September 5, accused of harassing and stalking his estranged wife in Morongo Valley. About 2:30 a.m. Saturday, the woman called deputies to her home in the 49800 block of Park Avenue in Morongo Valley. She said Jesse Raffenberger, 41, had been calling and texting her since 5:30 Friday morning. During one of the conversations, she said Raffenberger told her she had better not call law enforcement or he would do something that would send him to prison for the rest of his life. She told deputies she was in fear for her life. Deputies located Raffenberger as he drove away. Raffenberger told Deputies that he arrived at her home about 2:30 a.m. to talk to her. Jesse Raffenberger was arrested on suspicion of stalking and harassment and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $150,000.
A Joshua Tree convicted felon was arrested Saturday, September 5, when deputies found a revolver in his possession. Deputies went to the Travelodge in Yucca Valley about 7:20 p.m. for a call for service. While they were there, they contacted Christopher Parimore, 38, and found a revolver in his possession. As a convicted felon, he is prohibited from being in possession of firearms. Christopher Parimore was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
