COUNTY FIRE INVESTIGATORS MAKING ARRESTS FOR POSSESSION OF FIREWORKS

County fire investigators seized more than 25,000 pounds of illegal fireworks in June. Investigators issued 116 citations totaling $145,000 in fines. Investigations conducted at the Interstate 15 agricultural inspection station in Yermo found that the top three destinations for smuggled fireworks were Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino counties.
