SUSPECTED DRUG DEALER ARRESTED IN YUCCA VALLEY

A San Bernardino man suspected by being a drug dealer was arrested in Yucca Valley early Sunday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 1996 Jeep Cherokee near Old Woman Springs Road and Spencer Road about 12:20 a.m. Inside the Jeep was Ernest Cartwright, 58, who was on felony probation for possession of controlled substances for sales. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy discovered a large amount of methamphetamine and cash. Ernest Cartwright was arrested for investigation of possession of methamphetamine for sales, and for violating the terms of his probation, booked into West Valley Detention Center, and is being held without bail.
