VIKDAL: My name is Madison Vikdal. I’m part of the National Honors Society and a student at Yucca Valley High School. I will be doing a service project for the Morongo Basin Humane Society.

VIKDAL: During the month of February I will be putting boxes around the community. Iā€™ll have a box there at Z107.7.
Z107.7: Youā€™ll then donate the items?
VIKDAL: Yes, at the end of the month of February Iā€™ll collect them all and then Iā€™ll be bringing them to the shelter.
Z107.7: Sounds like you must be a pet lover?
VIKDAL: Yes, I have a black and white cat named Socks. Iā€™ve had her since I was three years old.
Z107.7: Thank you Madison.

Drop boxes for donations will be located at Z107.7 studios in Joshua Tree; Fins and Fangs, and Companion Animal Clinic, both in Yucca Valley, and Yucca Mesa Elementary School.
