Caltrans began striping Highway 62 in downtown Joshua Tree this morning. The striping project, which will provide striped islands, diagonal parking areas, and bicycle lanes, will take place 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, May 22, through Thursday, May 25. Traffic control will be in place. Motorists are advised to reduce their speed when driving through the area, expect delays, and use alternate routes when possible.
