STRING OF BURGLARIES IN YUCCA VALLEY

Yucca Valley residents reported at least six burglaries and attempted burglaries Sunday. According to Sheriff’s reports, a vehicle and cell phone were stolen from a home in the 7400 block of Elk Trail. The 2005 Ford was found parked around the corner, possibly due to the fact it had a flat tire. Tools, plumbing parts, and other items were reported stolen from a home in the 56100 block of Papago Trail, and two tool boxes were reported stolen from a Nissan pick-up truck in the 55600 block of Pueblo Trail. The owner of a vacant home in the 57100 block of Navajo Trail discovered someone has been living in the home, but is not sure what items are missing. And finally, employees of the Sky Harbor Care Center caught three juveniles in the act of burglarizing a 2001 Honda Civic. The employees were able to detain one juvenile for deputies, who released him to his parents.
