STORROR TEAM APOLOGIZES FOR JOSHUA TREE VIDEOS

The group of men who posted videos recently of them breaking several laws in Joshua Tree National Park to promote a British clothing brand removed their videos from YouTube and posted an apology to their Facebook page. In the videos promoting the Storror brand of clothing, the group of nine men can be seen running up and launching themselves off a Joshua tree, burning a bonfire of scavenged wood not in an authorized fire pit, and flying a drone—even though they know it’s illegal. In their apology, the group said: “We were aware that the Joshua Trees are protected but did not fully understand the extent or severity of the protection.” Concerning the drone law, they said, “Our reaction to the rule was ignorant and potentially offensive.” And about the bonfire, they wrote, “We were unaware that collecting wood from the surrounding area was not permitted and further apologize for lighting a fire away from designated camp grounds despite being aware of the risk and driving a considerable distance from the park.” Their full apology can be read on their Facebook page, Storror Blog.
