California is known for their frequent earthquakes. Everyone needs to be prepared in case an earthquake strikes near you. To prepare their residents, California will be holding a statewide drill on Thursday, October 16 at 10:16 a.m., called the Great California Shakeout Earthquake Drill. When this drill occurs, stop, take cover under a table or desk, and hold on. Stay down for at least 60 seconds to practice as if an earthquake were really happening.
