Start Smart provides teens and their parents/guardians with an interactive safe driving awareness class that will illustrate how poor choices behind the wheel of a car can affect the lives of numerous people. Start Smart also focuses on the responsibilities of newly licensed drivers, the Graduated Driver License program, the responsibilities of parents/guardians, and collision-avoidance techniques. As in times past, the event is listed on the CHP Morongo Basin Facebook page, and tickets are available at no cost through Eventbrite.com at the link provided on this story at the z107.7 website. The class is on March 30 at 6 p.m. at the CHP Area office located at 63683 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree.
