SR 62 MEDIAN AND SIDEWALK WORKSHOPS

The Town of Yucca Valley will be holding community workshops for the upcoming Highway 62 raised median island and sidewalk projects.  On Monday evening, October 14, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and Tuesday morning, October 15, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, the Town will provide an overview of the two upcoming raised median and sidewalk projects, and will cover topics such as anticipated project schedules, project funding sources, and business community outreach and communication during project construction. Both workshops will be held in the Yucca Room at the Yucca Valley Community Center.  There are two separate Highway 62 projects.  One project runs from Apache to Palm, and includes curb, gutter, sidewalks, raised median islands, and a traffic signal at Church Street.   The other project includes the construction of raised medians from Kickapoo Trail to Elk Trail and from Cherokee Trail to Apache Trail, and sidewalk improvements from Palm Avenue to Dumosa Avenue.  If your property or business is affected by either of these two projects, or have a general interest in the projects, please plan on attending one of the workshops, on either Monday evening, October 14, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, or Tuesday morning, October 15, from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
