SKY’S THE LIMIT CELEBRATES HANDICAPPED PARKING

The “Sky’s The Limit” Observatory and Nature Center is announcing the completion of an important parking lot construction project for the observatory. Reporter Andrew Dieleman has the details…
On January 26, a crew of ten volunteers worked diligently to complete an important construction project at the observatory. The goal: to create five handicapped parking spots. The project used all donated resources and volunteers from throughout the desert community. With the addition of these parking spots, the observatory is now ADA-compliant, allowing people of all abilities to take part in the organization’s hands-on activities for learning about the desert, earth, and sky. The concrete will be dry and ready for vehicles by the observatory’s next event on February 10. The Observatory is located at 9697 Utah Trail in Twentynine Palms.
