BODY OF JOSHUA TREE MAN FOUND, DEATH IS BEING CALLED SUSPICIOUS

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is calling the death of a Joshua Tree man suspicious. Deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station responded to a report from a pedestrian walking his dog of a body in the wash. Just after 11 a.m. Tuesday, the body of Jesse Stoneburner, age 32, of Joshua Tree was found near Aberdeen Drive east of Sunfair Road. Detectives from the Homicide Detail of the Specialized Investigations Division are looking into the circumstances. An autopsy is expected to determine the cause and manner of death.
