SEX OFFENDER WITH MULTIPLE ADDRESSES ARRESTED IN YUCCA VALLEY

A convicted sex offender with multiple addresses was arrested in Yucca Valley Tuesday, accused of failing to register as a sex offender. According to a Sheriff’s report, a resident called deputies about 1 p.m. Tuesday to report that two men, who were camping in the desert behind Walmart in Yucca Valley, were trying to attack him and his chihuahua. The caller said one man held up a fidget spinner and said they would beat him up and knock him out with it. After an investigation, Robert Rogers, 67, was arrested for investigation of failing to register his new address with local law enforcement. On the Megan’s Law website, Rogers is listed as being a resident of Oceanside, but Rogers’ booking record indicates he is a resident of Desert Hot Springs. Robert Rogers was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $25,000.
