SCIENCE SATURDAY AT THE HI-DESERT NATURE MUSEUM

The Hi-Desert Nature Museum in Yucca Valley will host their ongoing science Saturday event tomorrow. Reporter Taylor Thacker invites you to learn about our spectacular night sky…
One of the many joys of the desert is observing the night sky. The vast black sky is dotted with awe-inspiring sparkling stars on beautiful clear nights. However, when a person stares out into that vast abyss it brings into question what exactly they are looking at. Children of school age are invited to join Museum Educator Crystal Mason as she teaches young minds about the stars and even how to identify constellations. This Science Saturday will take place on Saturday, October 19 from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum. No pre-registration is required and there is no cost for this event. For more information call 760-369-7212.
