SCHOOL BOARD HONORS STAFF AND EMPLOYEES

In honor of The Day of the Teacher and Classified School Employees Week, one educator and one classified employee were selected from each school from the East End of the district, as well as from Yucca Valley High School. The Morongo Unified School Board awarded each recipient with a plaque in recognition of excellence. This year’s honorees are: Martha Morrissey and Christine Carnes from Condor Elementary, Mike Montoya and Rachel Newby from Oasis Elementary, Kathy Peach and Elizabeth Sellers from Palm Vista Elementary, Laura Pellior and Leah Ritz from Twentynine Palms Elementary, Melissa Mintz and McKenna Waycott from Twentynine Palms High School, Avilisa Mintz and Jason Moyer-Schmit from Twentynine Palms Jr. High School, Teresa McClintock and Bill Barrett from Yucca Valley High School, Virgil Gosser from the Custodial Department and Georgine Thomas and Lalectra James from the Maintenance and Operations Department.
