San Bernardino County confirmed another 10 deaths from COVID-19 Wednesday, (August 5), a day after nearly tripling the previous record with 59 deaths Tuesday. The county dashboard shows a total of 34,237 confirmed cases; 487 San Bernardino County residents have died from the disease.
Cases here in the Morongo Basin are up to 198: Yucca Valley, 116; Joshua Tree, 34; Twentynine Palms, 25; Morongo Valley, 18; Landers, four; and Pioneertown with one.
The number of residents projected to have recovered after testing positive rose above 25,000, or just under three out of every four people who have had a confirmed case.
