Runners, walkers and fitness enthusiasts are invited to the 26th Annual Grubstakes 10K, 5K and 2K Run to be held in Yucca Valley on Sunday, May 29. The run is open to experienced and novice athletes of all ages and fitness levels. While the 10K and 5K runs are timed competitive events, a 2K walk is available for those who wish to participate in a non-competitive event. All courses start and finish at the Yucca Valley High School football stadium, located at 7600 Sage Avenue. All races will begin at 9:00 a.m. Those interested are encouraged to register in advance at the Community Services Office in the Community Center or online at www.yucca-valley.org; pre-registered participants will enjoy express check in at the race, a souvenir race t-shirt, and raffle prizes. The registration fee is $20 for all age runners. On-site registration will also be accepted on race day beginning at 8:00 a.m.
