ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO WARRANT ARREST

A fugitive who was arrested in February, and again in September, accused of possessing stolen property, was arrested again Tuesday on a routine traffic stop. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy stopped a white Chevy S10 truck about 1 a.m. Tuesday morning near Coyote Trail and Cherokee Trail in Yucca Valley for having an expired license plate tag. A records check determined that Daniel Dalpezzo, 45, was wanted on a $325,000 warrant for possession of stolen property. In February, Dalpezzo was arrested after a Joshua Tree resident saw him towing his stolen trailer from Yucca Valley to Walmart. Dalpezzo claimed he had purchased the trailer, valued at $8,500, for $700, but had no bill of sale. Dalpezzo has not showed up for his court appearances concerning the stolen trailer charge. Daniel Dalpezzo was booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
