A project to rehabilitate the pavement on Highway 62 continues this week. Both east- and westbound lanes will be closed from Sun View Avenue to Barranca Street between West Twentynine Palms and Joshua Tree from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., beginning today (Friday, May 17), through Wednesday, May 22. No weekend work will be done. The project will grind the existing roadway and replace with new material to ensure longevity of the route. The project is expected to be completed in late August.
