REGISTRATION FOR TWENTYNINE PALMS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Back to school time is around the corner. Twentynine Palms High School Registration starts in the very middle of August, with different days set aside for different classes. Reporter Dan Stork reports who needs to report when…
For seniors the day is Wednesday August 15, for juniors it’s Thursday, August 16, and sophomores get their turn on Friday, August 17. Monday the 20 is the day for freshmen with last names starting with A through L, and the M through Z freshmen finish up on Tuesday, August 21. Registration time at the high school is 7:30 am to noon each of these days. The registration process includes: picking up your class schedule, having your student I.D. card picture taken, picking up textbooks in the library, paying for P.E. clothes, ASB cards and yearbooks. The registration process can only be completed by students who are already enrolled at TPHS and have already had a class schedule made for them. This process was completed automatically for any student transferring from Twentynine Palms Junior High School and all returning TPHS students. All other students must be enrolled by a counselor. These students should call 367-9594 beginning on August 6 to make an appointment to become a fully enrolled student. Appointments are necessary. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Anyone wishing to enroll as a new student at TPHS and who are also new to the Morongo Unified School District will need to have a parent or legal guardian present with them at their appointment time. A birth certificate, immunization record, transcript from previous school, and social security card will need to be presented in most cases. Registration packets may be picked up any day in the front office from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to get a jump start on filling out paperwork prior to going to the counseling office for your registration appointment. If you haven’t registered by August 22, you’ll have to do the whole processes on the first day of school, which will result in missing classes that day.
