REGISTER FOR TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM NEXT WEEK

The Morongo Unified School District will be offering transitional kindergarten this year. Students who are eligible for this program will turn 5 years old between November 2 and December 2. This is not a program for students that are eligible for regular kindergarten. While all students in the Morongo Basin are eligible for transitional kindergarten, the classes will be held in only two schools—Twentynine Palms Elementary and Friendly Hills Elementary in Joshua Tree. Bus service is not available for this program. Twentynine Palms Elementary will start scheduling appointments for transitional kindergarten registration on Monday, and Friendly Hills Elementary will accept walk-ins. Both schools will be closed Wednesday, August 15. Transitional kindergarten starts August 27. For more information, call 760-367-9191 extension 4224.
