RAPE ARREST IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

According to a sheriff’s report, a call was received at 2:47 am Tuesday morning from a woman in the 71500 block of Florida Drive in Twentynine Palms. She said that she woke up because she was being raped – by her husband’s friend. She found her husband outside, unconscious and breathing. The caller was crying and had blood all over her. She said that the assailant was drunk and still in the bedroom. Shortly before 7 am, Alejandro Torres, 21, was arrested for investigation of rape. Alejandro Torres was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with bail set at $250,000.
