A Landers man was arrested Wednesday for suspected utilities theft. According to the Sheriff Department, John Allen, 38, was arrested at his residence in the 600 block of North Giant Rock Road in Landers after a neighbor noticed a cord hanging from a utility pole on the property. The neighbor called the property owner and the owner notified the Sheriff. John Allen was booked into Morongo Basin Jail for suspected felony theft of utilities; his bail was set at $25,000.
